Alicia & Brett: Southern Utah

Here at Studio Stems the designer’s equate to the number 2! Me {audrey obrien} and my right hand gal, Mrs Neena Earl, who has been with Studio  Stems for nearly 7 years. It is an intimate hands on designer studio, that is why brides love us! This southern Utah wedding was designed and produced solely by Neena.  The bride is a stunner and her simple gown is divine. The color scheme profound but not too bright shades of peaches, yellows, pinks, and greens.

MINI workshops 2012

I get a lot of regular inquiries about workshops and or education opportunities I might offer to those seeking some floral knowledge and or experience. I actually have a education tab {for those of you who dont know} and as stated I really like to customize the educational opportunity to the student and am open to consider what one might want to learn from me. So email me if you are interested! {info@studiostems.com}

In addition to that. I have a few dates available in April & May for mini workshops centered around some wedding floral basics. The dates are as follows …

April 19th – floral bread knowledge and care and necessary floral prep $100

April 26th – basics of a basic bridal bouquet $200

May 9th – basics of bouts and corsages $200

May 16th – the low and the high of centerpieces $300

These each would be a 2 hour mini class mid-day from 11-1 that will include hands on production, the flowers & supply’s necessary. 3 participants per class.

In addition to that I am willing to teach 1 {and only 1} real wedding workshop this year during the wedding season. This includes but is not limited to my assistance in helping you organize, design, and order flowers for an actual event you have been hired to do and my labor and attention to prep those flowers, the production of the designs, and on site installation.

Subject to my availability of course. Open to anyone in the US including any locals to Utah. Price will vary based on location and quantity of needs and education.

No Foliage Hype

Some of you may have already seen this lovely feature …. and in numerous places including tv! It is receiving a good deal of hype these days. In preparation for the 2012 issue of Latter Day Bride Mara with Events by LMG was asked to create a tip oriented article and she asked Studio Stems to join her endeavor to create a gorgeous table-scape. We worked with Swanivations to create ice vessels to house these flowers that consisted of all full and rich blooms with NO fillers or foliage’s at all. I used hydrangea and several varities of specialty roses along with a few dahlias and scabiosa.

Alex’s fall wedding

Fall in Utah is the epitome of magical splendor! If i was a bride here it would be a highly favored time of year for my own nuptials. Last fall studio stems was privileged to work with Alex Green and her family for the second time. It is so nice to work with one family on more than one wedding! What a compliment. I love you guys! Alex had some seriously great tastes when it came to incorporating that fall theme into her wedding. It worked out stunning. We used a lot of hydrangea, orchids, dahlias, roses, willow, sunflowers, and callas. We utilized pumpkins for centerpieces and fall garlands for the stairs and made one gorgeous bouquet for this gorgeous gal! Enjoy!

Rachel & Brigham: sitting bouquet

Rachel was one of our end of 2011 clients. A lovely and regal gal. Her groomals were shot at The Grand America hotel by her stellar photographer Jacque Lynn. Her bouquet was a classic example of something traditional with a little bit of a twist. We wanted to use a good amount of greens, have some custom navy in there, and some traditional white. All done in a little larger than traditional size on a budget. The use of foliage, stock, and painted euc did the trick nicely. Cant wait to show you here lovely Grand America wedding!
